Even if the frequency has reduced, you still sometimes find misleading ads the search result pages of Google or on such sites which are a part of AdSense program on Google.
The surprising factor is that Google’s own system of AdWords is being used by advertisers for the promotion of products which are related to AdSense which are just spams. The following screenshot of the front page of Google can be looked at for popular query such as “AdSense.”
All the ads from Google which are shown in the screenshot above are promising for offering you with an account on AdSense in return of a particular amount of money.
An advertiser and my conversation
In curiosity to find out about the working of this system, if you call up one of such advertiser, he will ask you about your name, phone number and other details so that they could provide you an AdSense account. He will stress on how easy it was for him to get an account created by applying directly to Google due to his contacts with people working at Google.
A readymade website can also be promised by him ranging on topics such as bollywood, cars, sports etc. He is also likely tell that you will be paid around 2 ¢ to $25 on every click for that site. More is coming. He may also suggest for you to share the URL wilh all Orkut and Facebook friends to earn easy and quick money with every click.
The story is likely to be no different on calling another advertiser. Some of these may also offer that the AdSense account provided will be approved within 24 hours of receiving of payment. Bank details will also be provided by them to deposit the account.
The biggest question is why all this has been allowed to happen through the advertising network of Google itself where there is complete control.
