Where To Share Your Content To Gain Most ?

More than a million Tweets, a million messages, a million photos are shared everyday through Google+, Twitter and Facebook – this is the spread of connectivity and sharing within the global village which the whole world has become.

Following data gives us an idea as to which social networks are most popular today and how it makes business sense to put your content on them:

  • 2 billion posts daily from 800+ million users – Facebook
  • 200 million tweets from 100+ million users – Twitter
  • Millions of posts from 43 million users – Google+

Here is what Kevin Rose (founder of Digg.com), discovered when he did an experiment for click-through on Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus by putting out an article for two days and measuring clicks from each of these medias.

On Twitter, Kevin had 1.2 million followers. Out of these ~5800 clicked on the link.

On Google+ 135k visitors added Kevin to Google+ circle of theirs and this got him ~3600 clicks.

On Facebook, his subscriber base of 261k  clicked more than 11000 times on the link.

The CTR or the response was easily the highest on the Facebook. Not a surprise.
