A photo viewer of Google+ style has been rolled out by Facebook. Here the comments and advertisements are displayed in the overlay window just next to the picture. Thus scrolling the page is not required for reading the comments also as the browser is re-sized the adjustment of the photo viewer takes place automatically.
Switching to the Old Layout of the Photos in Facebook
If any photo is being viewed by you in Facebook and you wish to use the classic layout in which separate page is used to display the photos instead of a pop-up, the following ways can be used:
•While you are viewing the photo F5 has to be pressed on the keyboard or the reload button has to pressed in the browser this will refresh the photo page in Facebook and the photo will be displayed without the overlay.
•You may remove the string “&theater” from your browsers address bar i.e. From the URL of the photo and enter is to be hit.
•While the easiest of all the options is to hold the CTRL key while you are clicking on the thumbnail of any photograph and this will automatically open that photo inside a new tab but this will not have the lightbox effect.
