Learn To Attach Files In Gmail Mail Merge Operation?

Personalized email messages or letters can be sent to a large number of people with very little effort using Mail Merge. Generally all these messages have same content but the information specific to the recipient will be different such as the salutation and the first name.

Google Docs can be used to merge mail in Gmail while most of the programs on web for email do not provide mail merge facility. The simple spreadsheet in Google Docs is capable of reading email addresses in Google Contacts and it then sends personalized email messages from your Gmail account.

Mail Merge with Attachments in Gmail

Any file or image which you want to include in mail merge has to be uploaded, in your account on Google Docs. After uploading, a note of the Document ID has to be made.

Now inside your account of Google Docs a copy of the sheet of Mail Merge is to be created and then the ID is to be copy-pasted inside the field of Attachment ID. While  the cell is selected F2 can be pressed for entering the edit mode.

Then the steps shown in the video tutorial are to be followed in order to complete the mail merge. Your outgoing messages will look like this.
